Lots of hard work, preparation and prebaiting during the close season saw Dan Partridge richly rewarded with a 10-fish catch on the opening weekend of the new season on the Northey Park syndicate.
“I spent all of May picking my spots and regularly baiting them every couple of days, going through around 200kg of particles and S7 boilies over the course of the month,” said Dan.
“However, even with all the prep I didn’t expect the weekend to go how it did. Over the three nights I managed 10 carp, which is only five fewer than I landed from the venue all last season!
“Although the majority were stockies, I did manage to catch a few of the better ones, the Nameless Mirror at 31lb, the Covid Common at 29lb, a 21lb stockie and the Koi at 20lb 12oz.”
Secret 7 hookbaits over his baited area of S7 freebies and particles produced the goods for Dan.
