Stephen Bennett admits it has been tough going this January, and he isn’t the only person to say that, but this 33lb common made a few winter blanks well worth the effort.
Fishing on his syndicate water, Stephen has been feeding with crushed Bug boilies soaked in Bug Liquid Food, which he has mixed in with a few maggots.
At the business end, he has been using PB pop-ups tipped with maggots and that’s what proved to be this fish’s downfall.
