Due to the ongoing international travel restrictions, Mike Globe and his family decided to spend a weekend together a bit closer to home, at Nuddock Wood in North Lincolnshire.
The weather was far from ideal for fishing, with temperatures reaching 29 degrees on the warmest day, but Mike still managed a couple of fish for his efforts, the undoubted highlight being a new UK personal best of 36lb 6oz, a mirror that goes by the name of Olivia. Mike also backed it up with a 28lb 12oz mirror for good measure.

The 43-year-old accountant fished a small clay spot on a shallow bar at 60 yards, where he presented 15mm Secret 7 Corker and S7 Half Tones wafters to form a tantalising snowman offering and baited over the top with a mixture of whole and crumbed Secret 7 and Bug boilies, all soaked in Betastim and Bug Hydro Spod Syrup.
