43LB CROMWELL UNIT TALKED ON THE BANK!
The picturesque Cromwell Lake in Nottinghamshire has thrown up one of its largest and most desirable carp to Danny Hey, a big old 43lb mirror known as Winston.
Danny, who actually joked to his mate on the drive to the day-ticket venue that he would catch this particular carp, smashed his personal best with the coveted mirror, having also had a 26lb 10oz mirror earlier that morning from the same spot!
Danny concocted a mix of Bug crumb and whole 12mm Bug freebies, corn and red maggots, all covered in Bug Hydro Spod Syrup, and received both his bites on 12mm Pink Peril pop-ups fished over the baited area.
