The amount of effort and hard work that went into this capture would have seen many a lesser mortal give up the chase a long time ago, but Chris Silverthorne stuck to his guns and was finally rewarded with his first fish from the legendary Yateley Match Lake.
Chris, who travels to the venue from his home on the Isle of Wight, has been after a fish from this water for 30-odd nights spanning approximately four years. He eventually broke his duck in fitting fashion, landing the coveted Kiss Scale at a spawned-out weight of 43lb 8oz.
The fish gave itself up to a Secret 7 dumbbell wafter that Chris had presented over half a kilo of 8mm, 12mm and crumbed Secret 7 boilies, as well as some pellets.
