“ALL THANKS TO THE BUG”
Graeme Cheetham recorded his best-ever session on Linear’s Gaunt Lake syndicate over the weekend and, according to him, it was “all thanks to The Bug.”
“The Bug has changed my catch rate drastically over the last year, which just shows what an incredible bait it is,” said Graeme, who landed 15 fish from 17 bites over the course of his session, the pick of the bunch being a fantastic chestnut-coloured mirror of 36lb 4oz.
Graeme continued: “I got to a quiet lake on Thursday afternoon and managed to find a few fish down the bottom end in the same swim I had fished three weeks ago. My spod was still clipped to the same spot, so I baited right away with a couple of kilos of Bug boilies, mixed particles and quite a lot of Crayfish Maxi Mix pellets.
“It didn’t take long for the first bite and the action continued consistently until Sunday. I had a total of 17 bites, landing 15 of them, including three thirties to 36lb 4oz, with the rest being mid to upper twenties.”
