Richard Angell has picked off thirties consecutive visits to Roughs Lake in Peterborough, one of the Embryo Angling Habitats syndicate waters.
His first was a 31lb 1oz mirror that topped a four-fish catch over the course of 36 hours, after fishing 12mm Bug Half Tones pop-ups on spinner rigs over a baited area of Bug mini dumbbells and Crayfish Maxi Mix pellets, all coated in Calanus Hydro and then dusted in Insect Meal.
Richard then returned the next week and used the similar tactics, this time fishing just off an island, to take a new thirty for the water in the form of a 30lb 2oz mirror. Richard kept the bait going in by introducing 15mm Bug freebies via the aid of a throwing stick.
