Andy Woodland got his hands on one of the Bowl syndicate’s real gems at the weekend, owing to a bit of accurate long-range casting.

The 36lb 8oz scaly mirror was one of two fish landed by the 51-year-old from Cannock over the Easter weekend, each succumbing to single 12mm PB pop-ups slammed up against an island at 131 yards.

With the early-spring sunshine beating down, the fish were clearly looking for a bit of shallower water and Andy managed to capitalise.
