The warm February conditions have been the catalyst to some good results for many anglers over the past few weeks, especially those fishing on the Elphicks complex in Kent.
London carpenter Shane McDonagh plotted up on the North Lake for his recent 48-hour session and got through to a brace of thirties for his efforts, focusing entirely on a Bug-based approach.
Fishing to a spot at nine wraps, Shane tempted a 33lb 12oz common and a 32lb 10oz mirror whilst using Bug Corker dumbbell wafters over two kilos of 8mm Bug freebies and 3kg of Bug pellets, all of which he soaked in 500ml of Bug Liquid Food and then smothered the lot in Insect Meal!
