Now into his third season on his syndicate water, Dan Thorpe made a significant breakthrough on his latest visit, landing his first fish that wasn’t a high-double stockie!

The 36-year-old Leicester-based electrician was on a 72-hour session when his 15mm Milky Malt pop-up presented on a Ronnie rig was picked up by a 31lb 4oz common.

Dan was targeting a clear area at 45 yards, where had also baited with 18mm SLK freezer bait that he had pre-soaked in Yeast Extract and dusted with Krill Meal.
