CARP FISHING’S SHOOTING STAR!

Young star Leighton Murphy continues to show maturity beyond his years, after stealing the show during a social session on Sandhurst Lake with a classic Yateley mirror of 29lb 2oz.

Leighton said: “This time of year the carp can be really on edge with those big beds of bait, as they have seen it all year round, and especially those bright hookbaits. So I opted for a match-the-hatch approach, consistently building the swim up with solid bags and a small offering around it.”

Leighton’s solid bags consisted of dark Crayfish wafters amongst small parcels of Crayfish Mini Mix pellets and Crayfish Heavy Bag and Feeder Mix. He then dunked the bags in Fish Hydro before casting out.
