It’s commonplace at this time of year to find fish held up together in the snags, but if you can get a bait to them, you could be in for a winter session to remember!
Darren Collings experienced that exact scenario when he turned up for a short four-hour session on his Bedfordshire syndicate. Using a baiting pole, Darren was able to get his pink Bug Half Tones hookbaits under a fallen tree, along with a nice pile of Bug boilies covered in matching Bug Liquid Food.
Over the course of just a few hours, Darren would tempt a quartet of fish, a cracking 31lb 13oz mirror, two twenties and a 17-pounder.
