Olly Sanders continued his good run of form on Horton Boat Pool with a lovely scaly mirror, tipping the scales just shy of the 30lb mark.

Olly takes up the story: “After setting up on the fish on the Friday night with the upmost confidence it was going to happen, it later became apparent the fish had moved, so the next day I decided a move was in order.

“I packed away and spent the whole day just watching for any sign of activity. With about an hour of daylight remaining, they started to show right at the opposite end to where I had started. Thankfully, they were in the vicinity of a spot I had some success on back in the summer, so flicked two Milky Malt pop-ups out close together, followed by about 20-30 12mm Switch freebies scattered over the top. A couple of hours later, one of the rods melted off with a gorgeous scaly mirror on the end.”
