The chance of catching large, scaly carp is what makes Cottington Lakes in Kent such a huge draw for anglers, and it certainly didn’t disappoint for Tym Smith.

Tym travelled down to Deal from his home in Northampton and managed to pick off eight fish in total during a 72-hour stay.

The biggest of the bunch was a 38lb 3oz common, but this 37lb 2oz big-scaled linear was certainly our favourite.

Tym caught all his fish on Bug Corker wafters that he had coated in Bug Intense Booster. He fished these over a bed of Bug boilies, all covered in the Bug Hydro Spod Syrup.
