Tom Clarke broke the deadlock on his new syndicate with one of the venue’s most-coveted fish, a beautiful scaly mirror known as Samurai’s Mate.
“Having started a new syndicate water this year, I knew I was in for a challenge, which I absolutely love,” said Tom.
“Having fished about 12 nights on the bounce without a bleep, confidence wasn’t at an all-time high. Therefore, I opted for a new area on the lake, fishing tight to the snags and baiting with a spread of 15mm Bug boilies, with a trimmed-down 15mm Bug wafter over the top.
“I certainly didn’t expect my first bite to be such a corker, a real old one called Samurai’s Mate. How’s ya luck!”
