DOUBLE BACK CAPS 11-FISH MERE HIT!
Steven Monks made the most of an opportunity to jump on a last-minute trip to the Mere, run by RH Fisheries, and went on to enjoy a great session, topping an 11-fish catch with Double Back at 35lb 5oz.
The 31-year-old from Middleton, Manchester, said: “I jumped on a last-minute trip to the Mere and let’s just say they were having it, with 11 fish coming my way, the biggest being a fish known as Double Back at 35lb 5oz. I had a couple of good twenties to back them up, along with some of the future stockies. I couldn’t keep a rod in the water at times! PB wafters over hemp and maize soaked in Bug Hydro Spod Syrup kept the bites coming.”
Steven targeted a hard bit of gravel on a shelf, where he offered PB wafters amongst a mixture of hemp and corn soaked in Bug Hydro Spod Syrup.
