ELPHICKS ON FIRE AS THE BUG CLAIMS ANOTHER FIFTY!

It feels like anything is possible for anglers heading to Kent day-ticket complex, Elphicks Fisheries, as it is throwing up huge numbers of big fish at the moment, including yet another 50-pounder!

Despite coming out last in the draw, Elvin Balaam enjoyed what he described as a dream session, kicking things off with a 41lb mirror, which was followed by a 48lb 8oz common and then finished off with a show-stopping 53lb 8oz half linear.

Elvin: “After coming out last in the draw, I decided to sit back and wait until the other anglers were in their swims. I noticed a swim on the far bank next to one of the hot spots on the lake, so decided to head around get some bait out as fast as I could to stop them from making it to the corner of the lake. I had enough bait with me and knew they were going to be up for a bit, so started with 15 large Spombs over three rods on the same spot.

“As the fish came in, I just kept doubling up on the bait and they just kept coming, getting bigger and bigger as the session went on. It was the session of my dreams, shared with some great friends, which made everything so much more special.”

All Elvin’s fish were caught over a mixture of Bug 15-millers and mini dumbbells, which he combined with Bug pellets, Insect Meal, Calanus Hydro, Bug Hydro Spod Syrup and Liver Extract.
