After catching just one fish on his previous 14 nights, Stuart Whittaker decided to get on The Bug for his next trip to Horseshoe Lake – and the impact it had was nothing short of sensational!

Over the course of 96 hours on the famous Carp Society water, Stuart managed 14 bites in total, landing 11 of them, including a new PB common of 34lb 1oz, a 32-pounder and six twenties up to 29lb 6oz.

The 33-year-old gardener from Padiham opted to fish on a silt spot, using Bug wafters as hookbaits on German rigs and baiting with five or six Spombs of whole and chopped Bug boilies and particles, all coated in Bug Hydro Spod Syrup, between each bite.
