After spending a couple of months held up in the same bit of water, Lewis Parkinson’s hunch that the fish would eventually move out was proven to be spot on!
During a 72-hour session on Four Sessions, the 25-year-old from Preston picked off six fish in total from peg seven, the highlight of which being a magnificent fully scaled mirror of 24lb 9oz.
Lewis said: “With the fish holding up in pegs five and six for two months, I assumed they must want to move out at some stage. I opted for peg seven in the hope that when the sun dropped the fish would move out, and that’s exactly what they did.”
Lewis fished two different spots, one off the edge of an island and the other under a tree in a bay, where he offered 15mm SLK EVO hookbaits tipped with 12mm pink pop-ups over 8mm, 12mm and 15mm SLK boilies that he had washed out and coated in SLK Hydro Spod Syrup.
