Craig Williams was amongst the lads who smashed it up on Sandhurst Lake last month, landing 15 of the group’s 65-fish haul over the course of the week, including five thirties to 36lb 8oz and his first UK forty.
It was also Craig’s first-ever session using The Bug – and what an impact the bait made on him!
The highlight of the trip was the Patch Common at 40lb exactly, just three days after it had been banked by another angler, Dave Watson.
Craig kept an area at 20 wraps topped up with 12mm Bug and 15mm Secret 7 boilies and then fished solid bags of Crayfish Mini Mix pellets and Bug Liquid Food over the top.
Hookbait-wise, Craig alternated between Bug, Milky Malt and Pink Peril wafters.
