Shane Smith, 64, enjoyed the session of his life when he visited the Retreat Fishery in France, breaking his personal best four times in total, culminating in a 70lb 8oz giant!
Shane opted for a combination of Bug and SLK boilies, which he combined with the house pellets, and had 21 takes over the course of his stay, with back-up fish including two fifties and two forties.
Fishing to a bowl at 80 yards, the Didcot-based angler used both Bug and SLK snowman and wafter presentations over his baited area and the bites just kept on coming!
