We do love a Nene Valley common, especially when they weigh in excess of 40lb – like this one!
Martyn Fisher, a 53-year-old warehouse manager from Northampton, caught the fish during a recent session on his Nene Valley syndicate water.
Weighing in at 42lb 8oz, the fish succumbed to a Secret 7 Corker pop-up fished over to the far margin amongst a mixture of Secret 7 boilies and house pellets.
The same tactics also yielded a low twenty during the same session.
