HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
A relaxing break up at Nuddock Wood Lake and Lodges in Lincolnshire was interrupted by a quartet of fantastic-looking carp for husband-and-wife team, Chris and Trish Reilly.
The pick of the bunch was a stunning 30lb 8oz scaly mirror for Chris, who opted to mix The Bug with The Switch for this particular trip, a combination we are likely to see a lot more of as we head towards the colder months.
Chris said. “What a fantastic week away with the misses up at Nuddock Wood Lake and Lodges.
“With this being a tough old lake, I knew bites would be hard to come by, but we managed four between us, with the biggest being a cracking 30lb 8oz linear.
“Watching the water religiously helped me locate the fish and, as always, they couldn’t resist the DNA, but this time it was a Bug and Switch combo that definitely made the difference.”
Hookbaits were 12mm Bug Half Tones and Fruitylicous pop-ups, fished over a mixture of crushed Bug and Switch boilies, along with some 4mm pellets, all soaked in both Bug and Switch Liquid Food.
