Nestled in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside, Northey Park is one of the region’s most-coveted syndicate tickets, boasting a healthy stock of old English carp to more than 40lb. Yet it doesn’t give its stock up without some persuasion, as many members will testify, posing a significant challenge due to its shallow nature and huge weedbeds.

We join Tony Payne on the banks of the venue for a session that sees him land one of the most-wanted fish in the lake. Tony also reviews some of his other successes, including his first UK forty, during what has been a memorable year on the venue.
