The amazing Jacqui’s Pool at Westmoor Farm in Lincolnshire has thrown up its first 30-pounder – and it fell to The Bug!

Andy Maidens booked a weekend trip with his partner, staying in the luxurious lakeside lodge, with the view of enjoying a few peaceful days away and catching a few fish at the same time. He perhaps didn’t bargain for a fish of this magnitude, though!
After baiting up a spot with a mixture of chopped and whole Bug boilies, Andy presented a Bug wafter over the top. Within a couple of hours, the rod burst into life and 15 minutes later his partner was sliding the net under a beautiful scaly – and rather large – mirror.
Weighing in at 32lb 12oz, it was a new lake record and the first thirty to be caught from the lake.
