We never tire of seeing Karol Toth’s captures from Wharf in Cardiff, as they are always something to behold!

This fish of 30lb 8oz is the latest fully to grace Karol’s net, coming as part of a two-fish catch during a five-hour session.

Karol said: “I walked around a bit, but with not much to go on, I decided to fish a spot where fish are often hanging around. However, that was not the case this time, as the area remained dead, so I decided to reel in and get on the move a further 100 yards up the bank.

“Trying to be as stealthy as possible, I lowered a rig on the spot without spooking a small concentration of fish in the margins. I saw a carp approaching in a shallow margin only to disappear in deeper water towards my hookbait. Moments later I was in, and after a short, intense battle, I had my prize in the shape of another fully scaled Wharf beauty, a lovely Dint-strain carp stocked a couple of years ago, weighing in at 30lb 8oz.”

SLK Corker wafters fished over a mixture of SLK and Secret 7 crumb produced both bites for Karol.
