LONG LIVE THE CARP BUZZ!
The carp buzz is alive and well at DNA HQ, as we learned the story of DNA staffer Tony Gaskin’s capture of an impeccable Yorkshire 40lb-plus common over the weekend.
This was a capture three years in the making, beginning when he first stepped foot on this Yorkshire syndicate water in 2021. In that time, many blank nights and repeat captures have endured, until finally the fish he dearly wanted, a stunning creature of 41lb 14oz, succumbed to his net.
“It still hasn’t sunk in that I’ve managed to catch this incredible creature,” admitted Tony.
“When I first joined this lake three years ago, I didn’t know this fish was in here until I started talking to some of the other members who have now become good friends for life!
“The fish in this lake are something special, but this fish has been the one I wanted since I first laid eyes on it. The blank nights and recaptures make it all worthwhile when the one finally slips up. Long live the carp buzz.”
Tony tempted the fish on a pink 15mm Bug Half Tones pop-up over a mixture of 15mm Bug boilies and particles, all of which he had soaked in Crayfish Hydro Spod Syrup.
