Mass baiting paid dividends for Myles Wasley during a weekend trip to a big pit in the Cotswolds, a session that produced two thirties to 36lb 10oz amongst a six-fish catch.
Myles said: “I got down to a big pit in the Cotswolds late on Friday after work and found some fish on the end of the wind. After leading about, I found a nice gravel hump at 140 yards and, looking at the change in weather, decided to give them a big hit of 40kg of bait to start, fishing three rods positioned with simple D-rigs over the top.
“On the Saturday morning, the right-hand rod was away with a 32lb 10oz mirror on the end, followed by a lost fish. I then baited the area with another 30kg on Saturday night and from first light on Sunday they really got on the bait, with five fish to 36lb 10oz coming my way.
“I baited with a mixture of SLK boilies, seeds and tigers, all covered in lots of Krill Meal and SLK Hydro Spod Syrup, and they just kept coming back for more!”
