A year after taking a photograph of this fish for a fellow Yateley Match Lake member, Chris Dozier recently got his spot in the limelight.
The big old Match Lake mirror that goes by the name of the Brown Fish weighed in at 41lb and proceeded the captures of a 34lb mirror, a 32lb common and small stockie earlier in the same session.
The first three nights of Chris’s session produced just a catfish, so he moved swim and put out three kilos of 12mm Bug boilies, hemp and tigers, and then it all started to happen!
The two thirties and the stockie came in relatively quick succession. The next morning it was evident to Chris the fish were feeding on his spot again, as he kept receiving liners, so he sat on his hands in anticipation of a bite. That bite came on his right-hand rod, and 10 minutes later, the fish he immediately recognised from photographing it the year before, was sitting in the bottom of his landing net. Yet another victim of The Bug! 🐛
