Ste Alford’s Tees Valley Lakes has produced yet another new complex record in the form of a 33lb common known as Stumpy, one of the largest carp in the North East.

The fish was caught by James Browne and takes the crown off a fish known as Lucky, which previously held the record at 32lb 8oz.

James tempted the fish on a Secret 7 wafter, which he fished over a mixture of pellets and corn. The same tactic also produced fish of 29lb 6oz and 27lb 6oz during a red-letter session.
