Andrew Pittam bagged himself one of the largest fish in the North yesterday, and all it took was a Bug wafter and a small bag of 2mm pellets.
Andy was fishing Old Mill Lakes in Lincolnshire when he hit into the venue’s largest resident, the colossal Big Common at 59lb 8oz, coming within 10-15 minutes of his rig being in the water!
Knowing the lake had seen a lot of bait over the weekend, Andy opted to fish with just a Bug dumbbell wafter and a small bag of pellets. When a crosswind changed direction to directly at him, Andy was able to get a recast absolutely spot on and didn’t have to wait long before the magnificent fish took off with his Bug hookbait.
