ORCHID’S ‘QUEEN OF THE LAKE’
Orchid Lake might be known as ‘The Home of the Thirties’, but let’s not neglect the good head of 40-pounders also present within the lake, one of which was caught by Steve Jarvis just last week.
Known as Cathy and regarded as the ‘Queen of the Lake”, this 41lb 10oz mirror was caught by Steve, a 54-year-old factory worker, from the Top Dugout, after he targeted a spot at 40 yards.
Steve used a combination of Bug boilies, Crayfish Mini Mix pellets, Liver Extract and the amazing Insect Meal powder, with a Bug Corker wafter presented over the top of the baited area.
