Lewis Deadman’s imperious run on his local park lake culminated in the capture of the lake’s biggie, a cracking old mirror of 37lb 8oz.
Lewis, from Milton Keynes, has banked a number of quality fish from this particular venue in recent weeks, after getting his rods back out following a break of a few months over the summer, but this is the one he really wanted, and what’s more, it was a new personal best to boot.
An ever-faithful PB pop-up on a spinner rig did the eagerly anticipated bite for Lewis, presented amongst a light scattering of 15mm Bug freebies.
“I’m absolutely over the moon with this one,” said Lewis.
