PERFECT CONDITIONS TO CATCH BIG CARP!
The chance of a November whacker couldn’t be much higher, according to Simon Crow, who this week nailed a stunning 39lb 14oz common from his syndicate water.
“If I’d caught this one in daylight hours it would have looked magnificent in its autumn colours,” said Crowy.
“All three of my bites this week have come just into dark during a very defined feeding period lasting a couple of hours. This is when I’ve been seeing lots of carp topping too, the lake appearing almost lifeless during the daytime.
“I recall last November being pretty quiet on the lake, whereas this year the stable weather has kept the fish on the feed. The weather doesn’t look like changing this coming week either, which will be good news for the incoming winter ticket holders who start in a week’s time.
“The chance of a November whacker couldn’t be better for anyone getting out there.
“All of my fish fell to DNA’s SLK fished over matching SLK boilies and SLK pellets, with hookbaits offered on size 6 hooks.”
