Rob Morey’s first-ever capture on The Bug saw him bank his biggest fish to date from the Embryo Angling-Norton Disney complex, a Pettitt’s Lake mirror just shy of the 30lb mark.
The Lincolnshire angler targeted a spot with a helicopter presentation, baited with a trimmed-down Bug wafter to ensure it was perfectly critically balanced, and introduced a mixture of glugged 12mm and 18mm Bug boilies over the top.
The result was a chunk of a mirror that tipped the scales at 29lb 10oz, which Rob was absolutely over the moon with.
Speaking about The Bug, Rob said: “I can’t wait to continue to use it, as bites are few and far between on Pettitt’s Lake and I really believe this is a quality bait that will put more fish in my landing net!”
