John Dunn managed to take his good form at Tees Valley Lakes over to Q Lake near York and chalked up an eight-fish catch, including a coveted mirror known as Black Spot.
John made a flying start to his session, kicking off with a double take of mid-doubles using Crayfish and Betastim Mini Mix pellets in solid bags.
Due to the prolonged spell of heavy rain, John decided to change tactics from solid bags to a more boilie-based approach, baiting up with a mixture of Secret 7 and Bug boilies, all coated in SLK Hydro Spod Syrup. Fishing Milky Malt and Bug pop-ups over the top, John added four more fish, a 25lb mirror, a 25lb grass carp and one of the A-teamers, a fish that goes by the name of Black Spot, weighing in at a very spawned-out 22lb 6oz.

After the rain stopped, John decided to go back to solid bags and added two more fish, a common and a ghostie.
Meanwhile, John’s son Jacob in the next swim along chipped in with five fish of his own, using exactly the same methods as John.
John has now amassed 21 fish from his past five sessions, shared between Tees Valley and Q Lake, whilst Jacob has had 12 from his past three trips. Some going, that!
