So, here we are then, the amazing, the colossal, the breathtaking Big Common of Rainbow Lake in France, landed yesterday, aka ‘Big-Fish Thursday’, at 87lb 15oz by Mr Paul Hudson.
Paul is a veteran of fishing Rainbow, during which time has caught more fifties and sixties than most carp anglers have had hot dinners, but even by his standards, this fish was another level entirely!
The fish was caught, perhaps unsurprisingly and benefiting of the day and occasion, on our dedicated big-fish bait, SLK, proving just why it’s such a favourite of big carp.
We doff our caps, Paul. A truly remarkable capture from arguably the greatest carp lake in the world.
