ROAD LAKE’S BIGGEST COMMON & SECOND BIGGEST MIRROR!

Luke Williams described his visit to Gigantica’s Road Lake in France as “probably my best-ever session”, after topping his week with the lake’s biggest common and second biggest mirror!

Concentrating on Secret 7 for his trip, which he mixed with some of the house maize, Luke kicked off the session with the Box Mirror at 51lb 8oz, swiftly followed by a few smaller fish, giving him confidence and that his tactics and baiting strategy were spot on.

On Thursday morning, Luke then began battle with a fish that took him all over the swim, wiping out his other lines over the course of a 45-minute fight. Eventually, the fish succumbed to the net and what lay before Luke was the largest common in the lake, a fish known as All About That Hat, weighing in at 66lb.

Then to cap off a memorable week, on the Friday, having just topped up the spot with more halved Secret 7 boilies and maize following the capture of a mid-twenty, Luke was in again with another fish, which turned out to be the Road Lake’s second largest mirror, a fish known as Ron’s at 63lb.

“I’m not sure I’ll manage another session like this, but I’ll try,” said Luke.
