A spontaneous decision to get out on the bank when the air pressure changed from low to high resulted in the capture of a new personal best for Salvatore Perrone.

After landing 15 smaller fish during a prolific day’s sport, Salvo eventually latched into something considerably bigger, which took him 30 minutes to land. The result was an amazing common of 28.3kg (62lb 6oz)!

Salvo said: “It is hard to describe the feeling of happiness. My legs and arms are still shaking. I have a big smile that won’t go away from my face. I love carp fishing!”

Salvo’s trusted combination of Secret 7 tipped with PB wafters produced the new personal best.
