SIX-FISH CATCH ON FIRST TRIP TO CROMWELL!
It’s great to see Rod Underwood back out on the bank again, enjoying a social up on Cromwell Lake in Nottinghamshire before the lake was closed for spawning.
Rod, who was fishing Cromwell for the very first time, came out fourth in the draw and got swim 18, where he would catch the majority of the fish out over the weekend, landing six carp in total, including a couple of 30-pounders!
His two biggest fish weighed in at 33lb and 30lb 2oz, which were backed up by a 28lb 2oz common, a 21lb mirror and a couple of doubles.
At the business end, Rod used Bug Corker wafters and PB pop-ups on slip-D and Ronnie rigs respectively, fished in conjunction with bags of Crayfish Maxi Mix and lake pellets, along with 8mm and 12mm Bug freezer baits and Bug Hydro Spod Syrup.
