SIX FISH TO 39LB 4OZ ON FIRST TIME USING THE BUG!
Dave Ash’s first session out with The Bug couldn’t have gone much better, throwing up six fish in total from his syndicate water, including three thirties to 39lb 4oz!
“This was my first time out using The Bug and to say I’m impressed would be an understatement,” said Dave.
“I had a cracking session, landing six mirrors in total, with the biggest going 39lb 4oz, backed up by others weighing 36lb, 33lb 2oz, 27lb 2oz, 25lb 10oz and 20lb 8oz.
“Hookbaits were 15mm Bug Corker wafters, fished over a mixture of crushed and whole Bug boilies, particles and pellets, soaked in Bug Hydro Spod Syrup.
“The spod mix didn’t go out on the first day, as I was casting to showing fish using small PVA stockings with Bug pellets, Bug Stick Mix and boilies, which I believe was the right decision, as I landed three fish before dark.
“It then went quiet, so the next day I decided to put the spod mix in and within an hour had banked the 39lb 4oz mirror. I had to wait until darkness before a 36lb mirror graced the net. This was to be the only fish taken at night and was followed the next morning by a gorgeous-looking mirror of 27lb 2oz.
“I am doing the winter on the syndicate and am confident the bait will give me an edge!”
