STAGGERING NINE-FISH HIT FROM GRANITE SYNDICATE!
Fishing venues where bites are few and far between are what Martin Dudley has become accustomed to in recent years, as he aims to track down some of the country’s rarest carp.
So, imagine Martin’s surprise when a visit to his granite Cambridgeshire syndicate yielded a staggering tally of nine fish in one single session, coming from four different spots!
The biggest of the bunch was a repeat capture of the Big Common at 39lb 4oz, backed up by Moonscale at 35lb 12oz, a 35lb 4oz common, Double Belly at 34lb, the Croatian at 29lb, two doubles and a couple of singles.
Martin said: “I had been baiting the spots while fishing another area for about six weeks. The spots started to feel right, so I planned to fish them over the Bank Holiday weekend.
“In the end, all four spots produced bites over the session. They were caught over a mixture of particles and large Bug boilies in 18mm, 22mm and 26mm to try and counteract the rudd.”
