TEENAGER BREAKS DARROW FARM RECORD ON THE BUG!
The Darrow Farm Fishery lake record has fallen to the hands of 16-year-old Vinny Russell from Feltwell, after he bagged himself the aptly named Big Scaly at 37lb 9oz.
The teenager, who also set a new personal best with the capture, landed the spectacular fish during a 24-hour session on the day-ticket venue in Diss, Norfolk, using a predominantly Bug-based approach.
Vinny rigged up with a 15mm Bug Corker pop-up on a size 4 Ronnie rig and cast over to some marginal reeds, before baiting over the top with a spread of 15mm Bug freebies.
