THE BOWL’S BIG PLATED TICKED OFF THE HIT LIST!
William Simpkin has ticked the main target off his list on the Bowl syndicate, after landing the largest fish in the lake and one of Staffordshire’s finest, the stunning Big Plated at 41lb 8oz!
The 36-year-old plasterer, who will now set his sights on the two other forties in the 64-acre venue, picked off the hugely coveted fish by using a 12mm Switch Corker pop-up soaked in matching Switch Bait Soak to the point where it sat up off the hook like a wafter.
He fished his hookbait inside a solid bag of Crayfish Mini Mix injected with Hemp Oil and baited over the top with a mixture of whole and chopped Bug and Switch boilies, coated in a good helping of Bug Liquid Food.
