THE OLD AND THE NEW AT WYRESIDE
Kurtis Holland’s first session of the year on the Wyreside complex in Lancashire threw up a couple of awesome mirrors, a classic old original and a new thirty for the venue.
The 24-year-old kicked off his session by baiting a plateau at 80 yards with a mixture of SLK crumb, SLK pellets and hemp, all covered in SLK Hydro Spod Syrup.
Fishing 12mm PB pop-ups on hinged stiff rigs over the top, Kurtis went on to receive bites from Droppy Jnr at 26lb 12oz, a fish he’d really wanted to catch, and a mirror now known as Moonscale, as named by Kurtis, at 30lb 4oz.
