A chance trip to Farlows Lake paid off handsomely for Stefan Cawston in the form of a six-fish catch, capped by a 34lb mirror.
Stefan said: “Me and a friend had originally planned to fish Linear for three nights, but after arriving we found it too busy to get on fish when we arrived. Even after walking all the lakes on the complex, we decided to check out Farlows on the way back to Suffolk – and we were glad we did!”
The bite time was around midday, so each day Stefan ensured he had his PB pop-ups and solid bags of Crayfish Mini Mix pellets carefully presented amongst the weed, with a good helping of SLK boilies over the top.
Stefan’s other fish were all twenties, with the biggest being a 24lb mirror.
