Perry Alabaster is enjoying another fantastic session on the Monks Pit syndicate in Cambridgeshire, backing up his capture of the Special One at 38lb 12oz with a 40-pounder this morning!
Perry said: “I had just hit what I thought was a take on my PB wafter/solid-bag rod, but as soon as I picked the rod up, I realised it was just randy ducks that had caught my line!
“I quickly tested the wafter in the margin, made sure the hook point was okay and launched it back out on its own. Ten minutes later it was away!”
The 40lb 10oz mirror was already Perry’s third forty of the year from the venue.
