WINTER SERIES 7 | BOATHOUSE FISHERIES
DNA Baits’ dedicated winter carp-fishing series resumes, as we head to the Boathouse Fisheries in Shropshire for episode three, packed full of all the usual carp-related tips, tricks and techniques.
Setting off in search of some cold-water carp are Lee ‘Mozza’ Morris and his old friend, Chris ‘Bones’ Holmes’, who haven’t fished together since the hilarious Farlows Lake episode back in Winter Series 4.
The Boathouse is renowned for its winter form and is home to some lovely carp up to 30lb, so that lads have a decent chance of putting a fish or two on the bank for the cameras if they can get their tactics right.
Small boilies are the order of the day for this trip, primarily the 8mm and 12mm Bug boilies accompanied by matching liquids, with fluoro pop-ups fished over the top in the hope of tempting a carp into making a mistake.
With the water temperature being so low, the fish are grouped up and the bite times are few and far between, so the lads will need to get their approach and rigs absolutely spot on to succeed.
