Paul Rogers experienced arguably the best period of his angling career during a trip to the Approach Fisheries in West Yorkshire, landing a brace of carp for 91lb 6oz in the space of an hour, including a massive new 50lb-plus personal best!
Even by his admission, Paul never expected to see a Yorkshire fifty in the bottom of his net, but during a short feeding spell, Paul not only landed a 51lb unit but also backed it up with another hard-fighting mirror of 38lb.
Paul wasn’t finished there either, as he also had four other fish to mid-twenties during his 48-hour session.
Four-inch Ronnie rigs baited with Bug Corker pop-ups fished over a 10kg bed of crushed Bug boilies and Bug pellets, all soaked in Bug Liquid Food, were the order of the day for Paul.
