39-FISH BERNERS HAUL IN RED-LETTER SESH!
Now, this is what you call a red-letter session!
Nick Bourdon put Essex day-ticket water Berners Hall Fishery to the sword during recent social session, wracking up a massive 39-fish haul that included two 40-pounders to 44lb.
Amongst Nick’s hit were the A-teamers known as Pickles and Sherlock, as well as 11 thirties to 38lb.
Nick said: “After having a quick lap round and seeing fish, I knew where I needed to be and after coming out third in the draw, I got my first choice of swim, peg 21.
“Following a good lead around, I decided to fish a small gravel patch in amongst a lot of weed at 24 wraps. I fished two rods on one spot, both on Pink Peril wafters inside solid bags filled with Crayfish Mini Mix pellets and Insect Meal, whilst the other went just off the side on a Sticky Sweet-soaked zig. Over the top, I spodded out a mixture of crushed Bug boilies, Crayfish Maxi Mix pellets, Insect Meal and maggots, all soaked in Bug Liquid Food.
“It wasn’t long before all three bobbins were dancing and I ended the session with 39 fish, including two forties to 44lb, known fish called Pickles and Sherlock, and 11 fish over 30lb to 38lb.”
